My favorite PHIL FOSTER story by Mike DiFrisco

That reminds me of my favorite Phil Foster story. We were playing touch football in the parkway next to TJ37 and Phil was the ball carrier, running as fast as his short legs would carry him. He was so focused on his pursuer that he ran face first into a huge tree. He was dazed and bloody and his face was all banged up and all he was worried about was that he wouldn't be good-lookin for the chicks that weekend.

I would like to amend Mike's story just a wee bit. Our Dorm (TJ37) had the "big" football game against the other boy's dorm (their dorm name escapes me). I had gotten open and was streaking for a 'certain touchdown (lol)' when the normally ever accurate throw from Jimmy Dean was going over my opposing shoulder. As I turned to make the catch, I ran full stride into the base of the tree (never saw it coming) in our end zone-- SMMMMMACK.
First, pain-- wanting to cry like a lil baby then the realization that my girlfriend from back home was riding up w/my parents to visit me. Total scar/scab running down my forehead/nose. Y e a h-- she broke up w/me- lol. Luckily, there were the fine women of CCAD.
PS. During one part of the game we were substituting and I made the mistake of choosing Al Bumpus instead of Mike DiFrisco. Mike, you were the major route runner and a dart after the catch-- my bad.
